Marcel Khalife is a Lebanese vocalist, oud player, and composer with an enormous output to his credit: his talent ranges from film score to ballets, concertos, and symphonies. Recognized by UNESCO for his commitment to his country’s musical heritage, this "UNESCO Artist for Peace" gave himself the task of reviving the spirit of Middle Eastern music. Recorded at the Philharmonie de Paris, Khalife performs with his two sons, Rami and Bachar, and the Orchestre national d’île-de-France. Their concert program includes Ludwig van Beethoven’s The Ruins of Athens (Overture and Turkish March), and Marcel Khalife’s compositions Salute (Sabah el Leil), Ya Nassim el Rih, Inhad ya Tha’er, Salamun Alayki, and Ya Bahriye.
