July 6, 21:00 - Hungry Tour, Worakls

The young French prodigy Kevin Rodrigues, AKA Worakls, is first and foremost a composer. Growing up in a family of musicians, he learned the piano at the age of 3. Soon after his studies at the Conservatory, he discovered electronic music: a perfect medium to infuse his melodies with an incomparable strength. His music draws from many genres: movie soundtracks and classical music. In 2014, he created the label Hungry Music with his friends N’to and Joachim Pastor, allowing him to fully express those influences. During the Hungry Music Tour, Worakls’ band combines violin, viola, cello, guitar, piano, and electronics.

July 13, 21:00 - Joachim Pastor

It was at the Olympia in Paris, in January 2016, that Joachim Pastor became involved in the Hungry Music project. Two years ago, Pastor and his partners Worakls and N'to founded the record company Hungry Music, which allowed him to produce the music he wants: a music made of powerful voices, colorful rhythms, and a touch of perfectly balanced guitar. Pastor was only four when he discovered the world of music. After studying at the Conservatory of Versailles, he was a member of several groups before starting to produce his own music. This exclusive performance by Joachim Pastor will allow you to discover his electronic sounds as diverse and ambitious as melodic.

July 20, 21:00 - Lady Starlight & Surgeon

The New York DJ and producer Lady Starlight was raised in upstate New York. A rock history aficionado, she adopted the stage name Lady Starlight as a reference to the song "Lady Starlight" by Sweet. A downtown nightlife personality and scene queen, Lady Starlight has produced several long running parties in the Lower East Side club scene. In 2007, she started "Lady Starlight's Heavy Metal Soundhouse", a homage to rock DJ Neal Kay's Heavy Metal Soundhouse, London’s first heavy rock disco. Lady Starlight opened for longtime friend Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Ball in 2014. Birmingham techno legend Surgeon joined her for a few of the opening gigs, and they've since become close collaborators. Surgeon's musical style is characterized by his incorporation of the more cinematic and left field aspects of his musical background into his club-based material. His production, remix, and DJ repertoire are inspired by krautrock and industrial music bands such as Faust, Coil, and Whitehouse. Enjoy their show together at Dream Nation Festival!

July 27, 21:00 - Odezenne

The story of the French band Odezenne is above all the story of a big gap: the divide between the rawness of the lyrics, the candor of the instrumental, and the influences of dirty North American hip hop from the slums and the pristine Manchester New Wave. These paradoxes produce a music without equivalent in France. This iconoclastic group, which likes to break with taboos, does not neglect its aesthetics. Odezenne manufactures a characteristic, unique universe without becoming a caricature. Staying true to its mantra, the band from Bordeaux takes the music a step forward with a new album, "Dolziger Str. 2". Witness Odezenne’s live performance at Paris’ Le Trabendo.
